At Dog Haus, we don’t just serve food, we create moments people remember. From office lunches and game-day spreads to community events and private parties, our Catering & Events Manager helps bring the Dog Haus experience beyond our restaurant walls.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, sales, and organization. The Catering & Events Manager will take ownership of our growing catering business, manage event logistics, and represent Dog Haus in the Waco community. This position will also help coordinate and develop programming for our adjacent Dog Haus hospitality space, HT’s, creating new opportunities for private events, gatherings, and community engagement as the concept evolves.

What You’ll Do
Drive Catering Sales & Business Development
- Proactively grow Dog Haus catering through outreach and relationship-building
- Identify opportunities with local businesses, hospitals, schools, Baylor organizations, and community groups
- Develop repeat catering accounts and maintain ongoing relationships with clients
- Respond to catering inquiries, prepare quotes, and convert leads into booked events
- Maintain a pipeline of future catering opportunities and follow up with past clients
- Represent Dog Haus at networking events, community gatherings, and promotional opportunities
Plan & Execute Catering Orders
- Coordinate catering orders from initial inquiry through execution
- Work with guests to plan menus, quantities, delivery logistics, and timing
- Ensure all catering orders are communicated clearly to the kitchen team using Banquet Event Orders
- Confirm order details, delivery instructions, and guest expectations prior to event date
- Oversee packaging, delivery coordination, and presentation of catering orders
- Ensure orders leave the restaurant accurate, organized, and on time
Manage Events & Community Activations
- Help plan and execute in-house promotions, special events, and community activations
- Represent Dog Haus at off-site events, tailgates, and pop-ups when needed
- Assist with coordination of Dog Haus participation in local events and partnerships
- Ensure the brand is represented professionally and enthusiastically in the community
Manage Event & Hospitality Spaces
- Assist in the coordination, scheduling, and management of Dog Haus hospitality and event spaces, including HTs
- Work with ownership and management to develop programming, events, and potential private rental opportunities within the space
- Coordinate logistics for private events, tastings, pop-ups, or special activations hosted in the space
- Ensure the space is prepared, organized, and presented professionally for guests and events
- Help explore creative ways the space can be utilized to enhance the Dog Haus brand and guest experience
- Maintain flexibility as the concept and programming of the space evolves
Operational Coordination
- Track catering orders, invoices, and event details in an organized system
- Coordinate with kitchen and management teams to ensure operational readiness
- Assist with scheduling catering deliveries and event staffing when needed
- Maintain inventory and sales of Dog Haus merchandise when applicable
What We’re Looking For
- A self-starter who enjoys sales, networking, and building relationships
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple catering orders and event logistics simultaneously
- Hospitality, restaurant, catering, or event planning experience preferred
- Sales or business development experience is a major plus
- Professional, outgoing, and confident representing the brand in the community
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and stay calm under pressure

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
