PRIMARY DUTIES:

seeing ambulatory patients of the Center as scheduled and assigned by Center
maintain full privileges for practice of clinical medicine at Family Health Center
abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all federal, state and local laws and ordinances applicable to his/her practice.
participate in committees/work groups as assigned
may participate in quality improvement projects
other duties as assigned
OTHER DUTIES:
assist in the Center’s provision of health education and health promotion programs including but not limited to such groups as the Center’s patients, physicians, staff, and/or community residents.

Our community health center is a designated Patient Centered Medical Home, coordinating a robust collaborative of community health partnership (wellness center, prescription produce program, teaching kitchen, medical legal partnership). In addition to in-house pharmacy, WFM provides a sizeable network of in-house specialty service clinics (HIV, Hep C, Sports Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Wound Care). Through these various programs, we offer comprehensive, affordable primary care to patients across a broad range of demographics. Waco is a mid-sized city in Central Texas. It is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin. It boasts major attractions, historic homes, recreational venues, theatrical and musical productions, as well as art exhibitions. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner degree program.

Board eligible or Board certification required.

Current or pending license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.

Current BLS certification
SKILLS
- Provision of clinical healthcare services for clients in an ambulatory clinic setting.

Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred, though not required.
