Twin City Staffing is seeking environmentally conscious and motivated individuals to join our team as on-call material sorters. This role is perfect for those who want to play a direct part in local green initiatives by ensuring materials are diverted from landfills and processed according to sustainability standards.
Location: Shakopee, MN
Wage: $19.76 – $20.24 per hour
Hours: On-call / As-needed (Monday – Friday)
- 1st Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am or 12:30 am, Monday – Friday

Duties of the on-call material sorter:
- Identify and separate recyclable materials from incoming waste streams
- Monitor material quality to ensure all recycling guidelines are met
- Help maintain an organized and hazard-free sorting facility
- Assist with specialized recycling projects and facility upkeep
- Collaborate with the team to improve facility diversion rates
Requirements of the on-call material sorter:
- Experience in waste management or outdoor labor
- Comfortable working in an open-air environment with dust and weather changes
- Flexibility to accept shifts on an as-needed basis
- Physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify required)
