Company Overview

Portage Path Behavioral Health is a mission-driven, nonprofit organization focused on Behavioral Health and Psychiatric Services in Summit County. We work in partnership with The County of Summit ADM Board to provide mental health and addiction services to the community.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director with a passion for Behavioral Health awareness and nonprofit communications. This critical position will lead our marketing strategy, build community engagement, support fundraising campaigns and events, and help reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health, and ultimately supporting our mission to provide effective and affordable mental health care. The position is based in Summit County, Ohio.

Responsibilities

Create and execute a strategic marketing and communications plan aligned with PPBH’s mission, goals, programs, services and target audiences.
Lead digital marketing, including email campaigns, website content, and social media strategy.
Develop marketing materials for donor engagement, grant support and public events.
Develop, assist with and participate in PPBH events and community events.
Communicate marketing plans and results to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage brand messaging with trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach.
Build media relationships to promote PPBH, behavioral health education and advocacy.
Responsible for managing marketing budget including forecasting and reporting.
Supervise marketing staff and oversee contractors/vendors.
Conduct market research and analyze competitive landscape.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or related field.
5+ years in marketing, communications or public relations (nonprofit or healthcare sector), strongly preferred.
Excellent skills in brand management, content creation, digital strategy, and community outreach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Behavioral Health/Healthcare terminology, HIPAA considerations, and Behavioral Health marketing.
Proficient with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Survey Monkey, and Etapestry.
Ability to work with all levels of PPBH staff, clients, community partners and stakeholders.
