About Tru-Stone Technologies

Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies is currently seeking a experienced SAW OPERATOR FOR OUR 2ND SHIFT. Fridays off! Second shift is 4, 10 hours days. We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team.

Our skilled technicians build products using granite and other mediums to be used in precision metrology, semi-conductor and other industries in our state-of-the-art, climate controlled facility located in Waite Park, Minnesota. We are in close proximity to St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clearwater and other central Minnesota cities/towns.

We offer a $2000.00 sign-on bonus plus and additional $1000.00 for 2nd shift, in your first year.

This 2nd shift position wage range is $20-$25 per hour depending on exprience, plus a shift differential of 15% per hour.

2nd shift hours are 1:30 pm to 11:30 pm Monday – Thursday. Must be able to train on 1st shift.

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare and perform operations to product such as setting up and running general machining equipment including: saws, grinders, manual lathes, drills, mills, and polishing rounds. Inspect product to print requirements. Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and Company expectations, requirements, and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments as required to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals.

· Lay out reference lines and machining locations on work, using layout tools and applying knowledge of shop math and layout techniques.

· Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operation. Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to machining instructions or knowledge of material properties.

· Maneuver large pieces of granite using various tools and equipment.

· Follow processing schedules and production orders concerning duty assignments.

· Arrange work in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

EDUCATION

· High School diploma or equivalent experience

· Knowledge and/or experience with saw equipment a plus

· At least 6 months manufacturing experience

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

· Basic knowledge of inspection tools, including their uses and maintenance.

· Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.

· Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

· The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.

This is an in facility position and not avaiable for remote work.
