Payroll & Accounting Specialist

Salary: $65,000+ (flexible based on experience)
Benefits: Competitive benefits package
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 100% In-Office

ExecuSource is partnering with a well-established organization seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in both payroll and accounting who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and takes pride in delivering accurate financial and payroll support.

What You'll Do

Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule.
Utilize ADP to process weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bonus, and off-cycle payrolls.
Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws, garnishments, deductions, and payroll regulations.
Audit payroll reports, calculations, carrier feeds, and system data to ensure accuracy.
Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll transactions within the ERP system.
Support accounting functions by maintaining accurate financial records related to payroll activity.
Manage monthly benefits billing and assist with paid leave administration.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing, audits, reporting, and compliance.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll and accounting processes while helping resolve discrepancies.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll.
Experience with payroll journal entries, reconciliations, or other accounting support functions.
HRIS experience required; ADP experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and payroll accounting principles.
Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
