Full Job Description

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

This company is an 80+ year-old manufacturer of PVC products serving the MRO marketplace as well as specialized OEM’s. The organization is committed to innovation, growth and manufacturing excellence. This hours for this position are 9PM - 7AM Monday - Thursday (4 10-hour shifts).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meet periodically with General Manager to review projects, deadlines, etc.
Responsible for written communication. Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement
Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
Initiate, coordinate and enforce systems, policies and procedures
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel
Maintains quality by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
Build/maintain a team environment
Reduce scrap and improve labor efficiencies and optimize supply spending
Train and deploy Lean Manufacturing techniques
Provide annual cost savings ideas and participate in action plans to achieve them
Perform root cause analysis; address production issues while striving for continuous improvement
Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw, WIP and PG
Adherence to company and safety rules and regulations
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel
Hourly employee timekeeping using Kronos system.
Additional tasks as requested

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

Associates Degree minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management or related field desired
Five or more years of experience in manufacturing, preferably vinyl, rubber and rubber products
Knowledge/experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S and ISO
Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Good computer skills, including experience
Team player, good mentoring skills
Capable of a flexible work schedule, shift alterations and available for Saturday work as needed
Must be able to pass drug and background screens

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
