Graphics/ Production
Maine Antique Digest, a nationally distributed monthly publication, seeks a skilled graphics designer to join our creative team in Waldoboro, Maine.
Requirements:
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional
- Working knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, composition, and typography, in print and on the web.
- Work in prepress production on a weekly or monthly publication is most desirable but not necessary.
- Must be highly organized and self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, and able to be creative under tight deadlines with multiple projects.
- Must be able to multitask and handle frequent interruptions, to work under pressure, to keep track of details, and to work cooperatively as part of a small team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Design of print materials such as display ads, story layouts, and marketing materials.
- Editing photos in Photoshop for use in ads and stories.
- Making corrections in ads and story layouts that others on the team have created.
Benefits:
· Employees under 65: Full health insurance premium is paid for the employee; a portion of the premium is paid for a family plan.
· Employees with Medicare receive a monthly stipend of $250, from which taxes are withheld.
· Dental reimbursement up to $1000/year and orthodontic reimbursement up to $500/year (prorated for employees who do not work January-December; does not accrue year-to-year).

Pay: $21.75 - $23.85 per hour
