Job Overview
Grassmid Transport is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the flow of operations, ensuring timely communication between drivers, shippers/receivers, and customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries from drivers and customers promptly.
Schedule and dispatch drivers efficiently to meet service demands.
Monitor vehicle locations and provide real-time updates to drivers and customers.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver assignments and delivery statuses.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve any issues that may arise during operations.
Collaborate with management to optimize routes and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus.
Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in using dispatch software and technology, SSI, Samsara, DocHauler, etc. Familiarity with GPS systems is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
A strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer service.
