Full Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty pharmacy in Walker, MN is seeking an experienced pharmacist for a 13+ week contract opportunity. This role involves a blend of retail and long-term care pharmacy duties, providing a dynamic work environment where your expertise can make a significant impact on patient care.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in both retail and long-term care settings
Counsel patients and caregivers on proper medication use and potential side effects
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy
Participate in medication therapy management and documentation processes

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Minnesota pharmacist license
Recent pharmacist experience, preferably with exposure to both retail and long-term care environments
Strong knowledge of pharmacy best practices and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
