SUMMARY
Joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications to determine the appropriate welding process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to perform MIG, TIG, Spot welding, and grinding operations.
- Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness
- Coordinate daily/weekly work schedules with Dept. Lead. Communicate/update any issues or concerns.
- Responsible for following daily schedules and meet daily shift production goals.
- Responsible for quality control. Ability to produce quality parts within company/customer specifications, make adjustments as necessary, reject product outside of specifications.
- Responsible for accurately entering time entry info for jobs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Complete and accurately verify daily production paperwork (QC, Traveler, setup notes, etc.)
- Must follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Must have dependable, reliable, on time attendance.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify/Improve areas in reducing scrap/waste, improving costs and lead times.
- Assist in other areas of production as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. Understand/interpret blue print reading normally acquired through 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machine operation requires using safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
