Full Job Description

Job Title: Septic Pumper & Installer / Equipment Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Septic Pumper & Installer to join our team. This position will pump/inspect septic systems and serve as a lead on septic installation job sites and will be responsible for operating excavation equipment, coordinating site activities, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong excavation experience, the ability to lead a crew, and a valid CDL. Pay range DOQ.

Key Responsibilities:

Septic Tank Pumping & Inspection
Sewer Service & Septic System installation & repair projects
Operate excavation equipment for septic installation and related work
Perform excavation tasks including trenching, grading, and site preparation
Use rigging techniques to lift and position heavy materials safely and accurately
Assist with general excavation and construction work as needed
Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly, adjustments, and repairs on-site
Coordinate with crew members to ensure safe and efficient job completion
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment
Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and safety standards
Maintain equipment and perform basic inspections before and after use
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used throughout each project

Qualifications:

Previous experience with septic system installation and excavation required
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) required
Experience operating excavation equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers
Proven experience in construction site work, especially in septic system installation or related fields
Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation
Ability to operate trucks for transporting equipment and materials safely
Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to communicate with crew members, understand job instructions, and complete required documentation
Ability to read site plans and follow installation specifications
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to lift and perform physical labor as required

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of septic system regulations and installation requirements
Experience leading crews on excavation or utility projects

Wage:

Hourly pay with overtime (occasionally). Pay rate will depend on qualifications.
