Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable TPO Single-Ply Roofing Product Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for managing product certifications, technical development, accessory compatibility standards, and providing comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of TPO roofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in TPO roofing systems, FM and UL certification requirements, and commercial roofing applications.

The TPO Product Manager will work closely with engineering, sales, technical services, manufacturing, and customers to ensure the successful development, certification, specification, and performance of TPO roofing systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Certification & Compliance

Manage the entire FM and UL certification application process for TPO single-ply roofing systems.
Coordinate product testing, documentation, and submission requirements for FM Approvals, UL listings, and other applicable industry certifications.
Maintain and expand approved roofing assemblies to support market growth and customer requirements.
Ensure products comply with applicable building codes, testing standards, and industry regulations.
Monitor changes to FM Data Sheets, code requirements, and industry standards affecting roofing system design and performance.

Product Development & Technical Leadership

Establish technical standards for TPO roofing systems and associated accessory materials.
Identify, evaluate, qualify, and source compatible accessory materials for TPO roofing applications.
Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop and improve roofing system performance.
Support testing initiatives and product validation programs to ensure long-term system reliability.

Technical Sales & Project Support

Conduct on-site roof surveys and assessments for commercial roofing projects.
Develop technical proposals, specifications, and bid documents for TPO roofing opportunities.
Perform wind uplift calculations and develop technical submittal packages in accordance with project requirements.
Provide system recommendations and design assistance to contractors, consultants, architects, and owners.
Deliver comprehensive post-sale technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal system performance.
Assist in resolving field issues, warranty claims, and installation-related concerns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the company's technical expert for TPO roofing systems.
Support sales teams through product training, technical presentations, and customer meetings.
Develop technical literature, installation guides, specifications, and educational materials.
Partner with internal teams to ensure product consistency, quality, and market competitiveness.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, roofing product management, technical services, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Building Science, or related discipline
In-depth knowledge of all application methods for TPO single-ply roofing systems.
Proficiency in wind load calculations and development of technical submittals for roofing projects.
Comprehensive understanding of the FM certification process and relevant FM Data Sheets pertaining to TPO single-ply roofing systems.
Experience managing FM Approvals and UL certification programs.
Strong understanding of commercial roofing system design, attachment methods, and code compliance requirements.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, engineering reports, and testing data.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with roofing system testing, certification, and product development.
Knowledge of ASTM, ANSI, NRCA, FM, and UL standards.
Experience supporting contractors, consultants, architects, and distribution partners.
Professional roofing or construction-related certifications preferred.
