Associate Event Planner / Wedding Planner

We are seeking our first Associate Event Planner — a rare, foundational role at a company known for weddings held to a high standard.
About the Studio
Christofora Events is a boutique wedding planning studio based in New York’s Hudson Valley. We take on an exclusive number of weddings each year, and each one is designed and executed with meticulous care for couples who expect the very best. Our work is defined by discretion, refinement, and a level of attention that leaves nothing to chance. As we grow into new markets, we are building a team that shares that standard.
The Opportunity
This is not a support position, and it is not a seasonal one. It is the foundational hire that will shape the next chapter of the company — and a genuine growth path for the right planner.
You will begin by learning our process from the inside and grow into leading Hudson Valley weddings in your own right:
- Months 1–6: Learning the Christofora Events process alongside the owner
- Months 6–12: Co-leading Hudson Valley weddings
- Months 12–18: Leading Hudson Valley weddings independently
- Beyond 18 months: Growing into a full-time lead planner as the studio expands

What You’ll Do
From the first client conversation through the final moment of the wedding day, you will help bring each celebration to life:
- Guide couples through onboarding and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the planning journey
- Collaborate on design and help realize cohesive creative visions
- Build detailed timelines and production schedules
- Develop budgets within established frameworks
- Review vendor contracts and manage rental orders
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with premier vendors
- Represent the studio at tastings, site visits, design meetings, and industry gatherings
- Lead seamless execution on the wedding day
- Provide light oversight and work alongside our office assistant

- Discretion. You understand that confidentiality and quiet professionalism are part of the service at this level.
- A refined eye. You can hold a couple’s creative vision and translate it into cohesive, flawless execution.
- Grace under pressure. When something goes sideways on the wedding day, you are the steadiest person in the room.
- High standards, real warmth. You are exacting about the details and genuinely kind in every interaction.
You also bring the essentials: 1–3 years of wedding planning experience, comfort serving luxury clientele, and fluency or the ability to quickly gain it in Aisle Planner, Asana, or project management tools, Floor plans, Canva, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Word.
The Details
- Hours: 35-45 hours per week varying based on the season, W-2 employee
- Compensation: $47,000 - $52,000 salary plus tips and bonuses with a clear path for growth as you take on greater responsibility
- Location: MUST be located in the Hudson Valley, (Ulster, Dutchess, or Greene county) New York, with travel to client meetings, venues, and events
- Start: We hope to welcome our new Associate Planner within the next 30 days
