SCHEDULE: Varies, depending on the Host Company hours. Between 5:30 am to 5:30 pm, half hour lunch, Monday to Friday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The following are the necessary duties to be performed:
Direct Supervision:
● Receives direct supervision from the Program Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Supervise and train Consumers on job tasks and skills development, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed.
● Maintain daily consumer attendance records.
● Understand and support the goals of each consumer in each Person Centered Plan.
● Design and deliver meaningful activities that reflect consumer choice and relationships to the Person Centered Plan.
● Provide regular oral and written feedback to Consumers regarding goal progress and achievement, attendance, and adherence to safety guidelines.
● Produce all required documentation in a neat, accurate, and timely manner. ● Responsible for the monthly training data
● Advocate for services and support that will enhance the quality of life for consumers.
● Maintain a safe and clean environment in all facility and ground areas.
● Maintain open communication with the supervisor/Case Manager regarding any issues, concerns, or progress related to assigned Consumers.
● Responsible for safety training and enforcement of safety rules.
● Responsible for off site skills training of consumers.
● Immediately report any injury or incident involving Consumers or yourself to the appropriate personnel, following company protocols.
● Responsible for accurately recording consumer goal progress (case notes) for reporting to regulatory agencies.
● Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position, and be punctual.
● Facilitate monthly scheduled safety meetings and evacuation drills with consumers. ● Accurately document information needed for billing purposes.
● Operate and drive a company-owned vehicle as a routine and essential function of daily responsibilities.
● Complete and submit all required CARF documentation, including monthly vehicle inspection checklists, to designated case managers.
● Maintain professional and positive relationships with all stakeholders while representing Ability Counts, Inc. (ACI).
● Serve as a Substitute Instructor or Job Coach at various community worksites. When substitution is not needed, report to the primary facility in either Corona or Riverside.
● Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate varying assignments. Must be available for shifts Monday through Friday, between 5:30 AM and 5:30 PM, including short-notice assignments.
● Support Consumers by providing instruction in daily living skills and employment training. Job duties may include janitorial services, de-trashing, warehouse tasks, assembly, clerical work, landscaping, or food service.
● Engage in cross-training opportunities to support and perform a variety of job functions and responsibilities.
● Assist with and oversee daily production activities at assigned worksites.
● Due to the nature of the industry and the occupation, job coaches/floaters are not assigned to a specific workplace and have a reasonable expectation that they will be routinely required to travel reasonable distances to job sites on a regular basis, or as needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
● Performs other duties as assigned.
● Transport consumers to and from offsite training sites.
● Perform regular vehicle inspections.
● May transport consumer(s) to industrial clinics.
● May perform work in other classifications at the same or lower level
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience working with people with disabilities; High school diploma or GED. Proficient in reading, writing and basic math skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Case Magic software programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proof of Valid California driver’s license and Automobile Insurance. Ability to follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicle(s). CPR and First Aid certificate required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrates the ability to read and understand standard documents, including safety guidelines, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and billing records. Skilled in recognizing discrepancies in attendance and billing. Possesses basic math abilities for routine calculations. Capable of writing clearly, maintaining organized records, and managing filing tasks. Effectively addresses questions and concerns from Consumers, Host Companies, and other stakeholders. Capable of carrying out physical tasks as needed to meet the requirements of the Host Company. Consistently represents the organization in a professional manner when engaging with senior management, the public, and the Board of Directors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands of this job include the use of arms, hands, and fingers; standing and walking; bending over and lifting; twisting; squatting; carrying; reaching forward and above your head; moving or pushing; and lifting/pushing up to 50 pounds. Vision demands include close clarity and focus, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Hearing demands include the ability to focus in the presence of distracting sounds, and to listen for and identify changes to factory or machinery sounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is typical of a factory; the noise level varies moderate to high, and the work areas are not climate controlled. You’ll encounter moving mechanical parts and machine vibrations; powered equipment; compressed air; propane powered forklift; pallets and shelving of material. Works either indoor, outdoor or warehouse environment; is exposed to various chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, heat, cold, wind and seasonal changes in climate. Works well under pressure of deadlines.
COMPENSATION: $16.90-$21.00/HR
The above range is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
Pay: $16.90 - $21.00 per hour
