Full Job Description

This is a critical, fast-tracked hire for an independent agency seeking a licensed professional who can step in quickly, lead with confidence, and deliver a high level of client service from day one.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager & Team Lead to oversee a dedicated and diverse personal lines book of business while serving as the operational and strategic anchor for our personal lines division.

This role bridges high-touch client service with strategic leadership. You will handle end-to-end policy management while supporting/guiding carrier selection/interactions, refining agency workflows, and mentoring team members. If you are a proactive insurance professional who thrives on operational accuracy, market strategy, and elevated client relationships, this is an opportunity to directly shape our agency’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Oversee personal lines account managers (2), handle workflow distribution, and serve as the technical referral point for complex risks.
* Account Management: Manage, service, and retain a high-value book of personal lines business (Auto, Home, Umbrella, Flood).
* Client Advisory/Consultation: Review client coverage, identify gaps, rewrite policies, and cross-sell/up-sell where appropriate.
* Carrier Relations: Utilize diverse carrier portals to remarket accounts, resolve underwriting issues, and secure competitive pricing.

Qualifications (Required)
* Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty (P&C) License (Do not apply without this).
* 3+ years of personal lines experience within an independent insurance agency.
* Strong technical knowledge of personal lines insurance products and underwriting guidelines.
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, or manage team workflows.

Qualifications (Preferred / Plus)
* Proficiency with agency management systems such as AMS360
* Experience with high-net-worth insurance carriers

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
