We are seeking a seasonal public accountant/tax preparer to join our established, full-service public accounting firm for the 2027 tax season.
This position's primary responsibility is preparing tax returns for a variety of individual and small business clients. Depending on your experience and interests, the role may also include general accounting, bookkeeping, and audit, review, and financial statement engagements. Prior public accounting experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant tax preparation or accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Experience in every service area is not required. We are happy to tailor responsibilities to your strengths while providing opportunities to learn and grow in other areas.
We offer a flexible work schedule and work location and welcome candidates who need flexibility to accommodate school or childcare schedules.
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, location, and desired hours.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
- Possess strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Be comfortable using technology and accounting software.
- Have advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Have experience with UltraTax (preferred, but not required). Training is available for candidates with experience using comparable tax software.
