Full Job Description

Assistant Director, Employment & Job Placement – Employer Relations and Placement Unit

Full-time, permanent position
Hybrid schedule
Salary range: $125,400 to $156,700

Candidate Must have Regional knowledge of areas and willingness to travel throughout assigned regions, including New York City's five boroughs, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and other locations as needed to meet with employers, labor partners, staff, and other stakeholders to support divisional initiatives.

Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours to attend conferences, networking events, stakeholder meetings, recruitment activities, and other business-related events.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the Director to develop strategic employer relationships with labor partners, union representatives, organizational leaders across assigned healthcare systems, facilities, and regions to understand current and emerging workforce needs and identify opportunities for recruitment, placement, partnership, and workforce development.

Build a strong working relationships across Career Services and other TEF business units to strengthen coordination across the job seeker journey, address service delivery barriers, support job readiness and placement outcomes, and advance cross-functional initiatives.

Coach, mentor, and develop assigned managers and staff, providing ongoing feedback, guidance, and professional development to support a high-performing and accountable team.

Monitor and analyze recruitment, referral, placement, employer engagement, service delivery, and other key performance indicators to assess progress toward goals, identify trends and performance gaps, and recommend strategies for improvement using quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making; evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives, strengthen operations, and improve employer and job seeker outcomes.

Partner with the Director and appropriate Internal Stakeholders to identify programmatic and funding opportunities, contribute to grant development and implementation strategies, and support alignment between funded initiatives, divisional priorities, and intended outcomes.

Prepare and contribute to reports, presentations, and analyses representing the Employment & Job Placement division at employer meetings, labor-management meetings, stakeholder meetings, conferences, networking events, recruitment activities, community events, and other internal and external engagements as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, workforce development, business administration, counseling, public/healthcare administration, or a related field required. · Master's degree preferred.

Minimum six (6) years of responsible experience in workforce development, talent acquisition, employment services, employer engagement, healthcare workforce initiatives, or a related field, including at least four (4) years of supervisory or management experience.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, initiatives, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Data Management Tools

Bilingual or Multilingual skills are a plus; Spanish and/or French-Creole preferred.
