Overview
Are you passionate about dance and eager to inspire others through movement? We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Dance Instructor to lead engaging dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will follow a create curriculum, foster a positive learning environment, and motivate students to reach their full potential. Whether working with littles up to teen dancers, your enthusiasm and expertise will help ignite a love for dance while promoting creativity, discipline, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of dance and contribute to a vibrant community of dancers.

Responsibilities

Lead energetic and motivating dance classes, ensuring all students are engaged and encouraged to participate actively.
Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear expectations, creating a safe and inclusive environment for all learners.
Adapt lesson plans as needed to accommodate students with special education needs or early childhood development requirements.
Provide individualized tutoring or coaching sessions to support students’ progress in dancing techniques or theatrical performance skills.
Organize recital routines that allow students to demonstrate their skills confidently in front of an audience.
Maintain detailed records of attendance, progress, and behavioral notes to monitor student development over time.
Stay current with trends in dance education by participating in workshops related to childhood development, preschool activities.

Experience

Proven experience teaching dance classes across diverse age groups, including children in preschool or early childhood education settings.
Strong background in curriculum development for dance or theater arts; familiarity with lesson planning tailored for different learning styles.
Demonstrated classroom management skills that promote discipline while fostering a fun and motivating atmosphere.
Experience working with students who have special needs or require accommodations within an educational setting.
Knowledge of ballet techniques along with other dance styles.
Familiarity with behavior management strategies that support positive childhood development and early childhood education principles.
