Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Travel Contract

Position: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
Location: Montana
Department: Government Managed Services
Pay: $1,400 Weekly Gross
Shift: Open Shift Availability Preferred
Unit: Float Pool / Adult Psychiatric Facilities
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate, safe, and supportive care in adult psychiatric and healthcare settings. CNAs will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor and document vital signs, support transportation needs, and maintain a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal care needs.
Take and accurately record vital signs.
Observe residents and report changes in physical or behavioral condition.
Assist with specimen collection and basic health-related tasks.
Support residents during emergency situations as directed.
Transport residents to medical appointments and provide assistance as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive patient environment.
Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Communicate effectively with residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Use appropriate de-escalation techniques when working with behavioral health patients.

Experience Requirements

Travel Experience: 1–2 years preferred.
Mental Health: Minimum 2 years of direct mental health experience, preferably in state hospitals or dedicated mental health facilities.
Geriatric Experience: Minimum 5 years if experience is exclusively in nursing homes/LTC. (preferred)
Emergency/Urgent Care: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. (preferred)
Adult Psychiatric Experience: Required for Float Pool assignments.
Highly skilled in de-escalation preferred.
Open shift availability preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Active Montana CNA Certification/License.
Minimum 2 years of job-related healthcare or group-home experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to accurately observe, document, and report patient information.
Basic knowledge of personal hygiene and patient care.
