We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivables Clerk to join our finance team.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable/Receivables Clerk will be responsible for managing the organization's financial transactions related to both payables and receivables. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment while maintaining accurate records.

- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, resolving discrepancies as needed.

- Assist with monthly closing processes and prepare reports for management.

- Maintain vendor and customer files, ensuring all records are up to date and complete.

- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding billing issues, payments, and account status.

- Support the finance team with audits and assist in implementing process improvements.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the accounting manager or finance director.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably within an automotive dealership or retail environment.

- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
