Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement / Lean Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence by optimizing production, supply chain, and support processes across the organization. This role leads the design and execution of Lean and Six Sigma initiatives that reduce cost, improve quality, and enhance overall efficiency while ensuring compliance with customer, internal, and IATF 16949 standards.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in Lean systems with strong data analytics, ERP/supply chain knowledge, and proven leadership in building a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement plant-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance OEE, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
Facilitate workshops using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies for root cause analysis, process mapping, and problem-solving.
Partner with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, quality, materials, and engineering to enforce APQP standards, support new product launches, and drive operational reliability.
Oversee ERP system utilization (SAP, Oracle EBS, or equivalent) to ensure accurate data, improve planning, and optimize production, demand, and inventory management.
Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reports (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel) to track performance and communicate results to leadership.
Train and mentor employees at all levels on Lean tools and CI principles to shorten lead times, increase productivity, and foster accountability.
Build and sustain standard work practices and documentation that meet ISO/IATF quality and compliance requirements.
Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning, aligning CI initiatives with business goals.
Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
Proven experience leading CI initiatives in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
Deep knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; certification (Green/Black Belt) strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, CAPA/8D, and quality management systems (ISO/IATF 16949).
Proficiency in ERP (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
ASQ certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE, or CQA) preferred.
