Full Job Description

This position will lead iGAM field service projects involving industrial automation, equipment removal, installation, relocation, decommissioning, and logistics at customer sites throughout the U.S. The ideal candidate is a seasoned project manager with hands-on familiarity with industrial equipment and automation systems, including prior experience installing equipment, removing equipment, or managing projects that involve both. This individual must be able to manage schedules, scopes of work, contractors, safety requirements, materials, equipment, trucking, and project resources from planning through completion. The iGAM on-site team will include personnel with various skill sets and experience levels who will rely on this Project Manager for direction. This role may require consecutive days on site, as well as management of project details before a job begins. This position requires on-site supervision at various customer facilities for the duration of each project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Lead complex industrial equipment and automation-related projects, including equipment removal, installation, relocation, decommissioning, resale preparation, scrap coordination, and site logistics

· Work with the iGAM management team to develop internal teams and outside contractor resources needed to satisfy customer scope, equipment removal, and logistics requirements

· Develop standard work instructions for customer site projects, including due care decommissioning, tear-out, and machinery relocation

· Schedule personnel based on project timelines and customer-required completion dates

· Coordinate required tools, rigging equipment, rental lift trucks, manlifts, and other rental equipment needed to complete each project

· Understand and clearly communicate customer safety requirements to the iGAM team, and maintain periodic safety check-ins with customers and project teams, including safety meetings, first aid training, and work shadowing

· Manage customer-required certifications, paperwork, and permits, including ISN compliance, hot work permits, and related documentation

· Monitor iGAM team members and contractors on site to ensure compliance with customer safety requirements and OSHA standards

· Coordinate with plant teams for required service shutdowns, including power, air, and gas, to support safe equipment removal

· Supervise on-site teams in segregating equipment identified for resale and preparing it for shipment to iGAM

· Coordinate on-site scrap removal schedules

· Manage proper truck types and quantities for shipping surplus equipment off site, and communicate shipping schedules and requirements to on-site and off-site teams

· Support project planning and estimating by identifying labor, equipment, rigging, trucking, contractor, resale, and scrap-related requirements that may impact scope, budget, and timeline

· Ensure all trucks and containers shipping outbound from customer sites are loaded safely and that all equipment is properly secured

· Oversee and communicate scope or resource changes during projects to the iGAM management team

· Maintain internal project budgets and proactively identify, communicate, and address potential cost overages before they occur

Education and Experience

· Minimum of 5–7 years of related experience managing industrial tradespeople, contractors, and general labor support teams

· Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements for tradespeople working in industrial environments

· Experience managing projects involving industrial automation equipment, machinery removal, equipment installation, machinery relocation, or a combination of these project types

· Working knowledge of industrial equipment resale, scrap values, asset recovery, project estimating, and customer-facing scope development preferred

· Proven ability to maintain or improve project budgets, schedules, and overall project timelines

Minimum Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)

Experience leading a multi-discipline technical team on field service projects or at customer sites
Strong interpersonal communication skills with both customers and internal team
Ability to travel extensively, as required
Flexible and dynamic problem solver

· Ability to support project quoting and estimating, including labor, equipment, contractor, trucking, resale, and scrap-related cost considerations

· Direct experience supporting installation, removal, disassembly, decommissioning, relocation, or commissioning of industrial equipment and automation systems

Functional knowledge of lift trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and manlifts

· Understanding of machinery resale potential, scrap segregation, scrap value drivers, and proper handling of surplus industrial assets is highly preferred

Travel Requirements

· Must be able to travel regularly throughout the U.S. and stay on job sites for extended periods of time, as needed. Typical project durations range from 2–3 days to 3 months, although longer durations are less common.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
