Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant in Youngstown, Ohio, to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in accounts payable and financial recordkeeping.

This position supports a busy company by managing incoming invoices, verifying transaction details, and processing payments to vendors. You'll help ensure that company financial records are accurate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers. Hours:
1st Shift, 09:00 AM – 02:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay:
$16.00-$20.00 Per Hour Based on Expereince

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and input vendor invoices into accounting software.
Three-Way Matching: Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices to verify accuracy.
Payment Execution: Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, checks, and wire transfers.
Vendor Management: Respond to vendor inquiries, research discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.

Minimum Requirements:

Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Strong data-entry skills
High attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with accounts payable processes
Familiarity with accounting software

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience in accounting or finance preferred

Other Requirements:

On-site work location in Youngstown, Ohio
Physical ability to perform office tasks
