Accounting Associate — QuickBooks Focus Location: Warren, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Entry-Level

About the Position: O'Connor, Hoso & Loree, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist with strong QuickBooks skills to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and learning new accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Enter and categorize accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts
Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures
Review transactions for accuracy and proper account coding
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
Assist the accounting team with other bookkeeping and administrative duties

Additional Duties: Responsibilities are not limited to those listed above. The Accounting Specialist may be asked to perform other accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, and related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; accounting coursework or an associate and/or a bachelor's degree is a plus
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Microsoft Excel skills
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential financial information

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with bank reconciliations
Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Experience preparing basic financial reports
QuickBooks certification is a plus, but not required
