We are seeking an Executive Search Research Specialist to support our team of Executive Recruiters in identifying top talent across engineering, manufacturing, technical sales, operations, and executive leadership functions throughout North America.
Please note that while this role is remote, you must live within three hours of Columbus, Ohio.
In this role, you will serve as a talent intelligence expert, leveraging advanced online research techniques, social media platforms, recruiting tools, and professional networks to identify exceptional candidates for our clients. Your work will directly contribute to successful placements and help leading organizations build stronger teams. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while collaborating closely with an experienced team of Executive Recruiters and industry specialists.
Compensation includes a base hourly wage equivalent to $35,000 to $40,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a variable incentive package tied directly to successful candidate placements. Successful Research Specialists typically earn total annual compensation of $45,000 to $50,000+, with additional upside based on performance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Execute targeted talent research strategies to identify high-caliber professionals for executive, technical, sales, marketing, and operations positions
- Build and maintain pipelines of candidates for current and future job openings
- Develop talent pipelines and candidate market maps that support current searches and future client hiring needs
- Leverage various recruiting tools, social media, and other platforms to identify potential candidates for Recruiters to contact
- Proactively promote and market select candidates through private recruiting networks and other recruiting colleagues to facilitate placements
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform sourcing strategies
- Deliver concise candidate intelligence reports and market research summaries to recruiters and leadership
- Upload and maintain accurate and up-to-date client and candidate information and recruiting notes in company’s online network database
- Assist with operational and administrative projects to support team success and business growth
- Be flexible in responding to frequent change
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years equivalent experience completing information research or “sourcing” assignments within a recruiting or executive search firm, law office, library, academic setting, or other equivalent professional environment. Previous experience as a recruiting sourcer is a plus, but not required; qualified candidates from any background are encouraged to apply.
- BS/BA degree in English, Library and Information Sciences, Information Technology, Marketing, Business, or Communications highly preferred, but not required
- Exceptional analytical research skills with the ability to source targeted information
- Strong proficiency utilizing modern research technologies, social media platforms, recruiting databases, AI-assisted research tools, and online information resources
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail, particularly with written communications
- Boolean search logic experience is a plus
- Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Maturity to work remotely and autonomously, as part of an integrated team, with little supervision, while maintaining the self-discipline to achieve targeted goals
- Natural competitive drive with a passion to succeed
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly
- Previous Sales or Customer Service experience a plus, but not required
- Must live within three hours of Columbus, OH
