JOB SUMMARY
Pick supply and equipment orders for delivery and store pick up. Compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation used in the health care delivery field. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes medical equipment, tools and work areas. Safely drives and maintains company vehicles as back-up when needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Unloads Trucks (including from lift gate tractor trailers) via all incoming delivery vendors.
· Unloads pallets of products which include various items from supplies and equipment from the outside to the inside warehouse and staging areas within the warehouse.
· Assist Delivery Technicians, when necessary, in preparing, loading and unloading trucks/vans.
· Receives in new product, compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, and/or enters information into the computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records. Validates product being checked against original purchase orders to ensure the correct product is being received.
· Pick products for orders being delivered or picked up and place them in appropriate staging and designated areas.
· Assist customers with order pick-ups and frequently assist with placing products in customers vehicles.
· Keeps back-orders filed in an established sequence and releases back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
· Compiles stock control records and information to determine stock supply and the need for replenishment.
· Use of company computers and software to print price labels for products prior to stocking in store.
· Stocks and restock products on store shelves as needed to replenish store stock levels.
· Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
· Cleans and disinfects and maintains equipment in a timely manner.
· Follows all infection control procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling contaminated or potentially contaminated equipment and/or supplies.
· Follows all disinfectant/sterilizing agent manufacturers’ use instructions and safety precautions.
· Keeps cleaning area free from contamination and in compliance with infection control policies and/or procedures.
· Properly marks and covers clean equipment.
· Documents all cleaning/disinfection work on appropriate forms and keep all documentation in an orderly manner.
· Performs functional checks on cleaned equipment (if trained to do so).
· Inspects and repairs the company’s medical and related technical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
· Inspects and repairs patient/customer’s medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
· Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment.
· Tests medical equipment and the company’s structural environment to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards.
· Consults with staff to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely.
· Assembles medical equipment per manufacturer’s specifications.
· Maintains an adequate supply of repair parts.
· Demonstrate and explain correct operation of equipment to staff.
· Documents the functional checks and repairs for company and patient/customer’s equipment.
· May be required to make visits with Delivery Technicians to patient/customer’s homes or places of work to deliver, repair, or service equipment.
· Safely drives and maintains company vehicles as back-up when needed.
· Securely loads and stages company vehicles as back-up when needed.
· Maintains work area and tools in a clean and orderly manner.
· May attend company paid, professional schooling from equipment manufacturers on specific pieces of equipment.
· Communicates with and repairs equipment for company’s customers that may be of various ages.
· Dispose of soiled or contaminated supplies per infection control policies.
· Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock. Participates in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.
· Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.
· Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures.
· Works effectively with other company employees, managers, and departments.
· Performs all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.
· Other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certificate, and Licensure
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
Applicant must have a clean state criminal background and federal sex offender check, valid driver’s license and pass a driving skill test as needed. Must demonstrate proficient ability and practical knowledge with use of computers, company software, and products applicable to the industry. Additionally, the applicant is expected to demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of departmental program structure (Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements) and department policies and procedures. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed, and ability to demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision.
Supervisory Requirements
This job has no supervisory responsibilities or authority.
Math Ability
Must demonstrate proficient ability to apply mathematical concepts such as basic calculating of figures and amounts, discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume to practical situations.

Must demonstrate proficient ability to foster professional working relationships utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills organization-wide. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations and effectively present and debate any assortment of information relevant to their area of expertise and designated responsibilities and duties with members of the Company and on behalf of the Company when appropriate. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Physical Demands
Must demonstrate the ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, which may include but is not limited to: computers and various mechanical equipment and/or devices. Requires the ability to safely operate a company vehicle; stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; strength to frequently lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone; manual dexterity to perform job functions and stamina to stand frequently for extended periods of time.
Reasoning Ability
Must demonstrate proficient ability to understand, apply, and interpret an extensive array of technical information, variables, and instruction where only limited standardization exists to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Technology Skills
Must demonstrate proficient ability and practical knowledge of computer use, including company software. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to quickly and proficiently learn to use company specific software programs and any other handheld or technology tools as required for completing job tasks. Must demonstrate ability to use metric and standard tools, including but not limited to wrenches, sockets set, screwdrivers, pliers, drill guns, staple guns, and more. Must also demonstrate ability to use (or willingness to learn the use of) voltage meters to test and check company and customer owned batteries for powered mobility devices.
OTHER INFORMATION
Must demonstrate proficiency and productivity in a fast-paced environment with unscheduled interruptions while maintaining acceptable judgment, responsibility, and assumption for decisions, consequences, and results. Applicants must demonstrate good organization, time management, and communication skills. Occasionally an adjusted work schedule is required to accommodate company needs.
