A great UHY client is seeking a SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash and Revenue Lead. The ideal candidate will have deep SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC) expertise, strong knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606, and experience leading SAP finance systems implementations and integrations.
The SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash and Revenue Lead role is a remote position with travel needed to Troy, MI on occasion. This is a direct hire position.
SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash and Revenue Lead Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) process within SAP S/4HANA, including Sales & Distribution (SD), order processing, delivery, billing, and Accounts Receivable integration.
- Design and optimize AR sub-ledger processing, cash application, customer master data, and credit management processes.
- Validate customer master records and open accounts receivable during data conversion and mock migration cycles.
- Partner with Accounts Receivable leadership to ensure business requirements are incorporated into system design and user acceptance.
- Lead the design and configuration of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) or SAP S/4HANA Revenue Recognition solutions in compliance with ASC 606.
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting and Tax teams to support revenue recognition policies, performance obligations, and multi-element revenue arrangements.
- Oversee sales and use tax determination through integration with Avalara or similar tax engines.
- Build finance requirements supporting consumer, commercial, fleet, financing, and marketplace sales channels while identifying downstream impacts to revenue and accounts receivable.
- Lead Order-to-Cash and Revenue user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring system functionality and business process validation.
- Design and implement SOX-compliant controls and segregation of duties throughout the OTC and revenue processes.
- Develop functional specifications and partner with implementation teams, IT, and business stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Manage the post-go-live enhancement backlog to support business growth, new sales channels, and increasing transaction volumes.
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, reporting, and financial controls.
SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash and Revenue Lead Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of SAP experience focused on Order-to-Cash and Revenue processes.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC), including Sales & Distribution (SD), FI-AR, billing, accounts receivable, customer master, and credit management.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) or SAP S/4HANA Revenue Recognition.
- Solid understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements.
- Experience leading SAP finance systems implementations involving order management systems, payment processors, tax engines (Avalara or Vertex), and financing or leasing platforms.
- Experience designing and supporting multi-channel revenue and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong knowledge of customer master governance, billing processes, AR sub-ledger design, and cash application.
- Experience developing functional specifications, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and partnering with implementation consultants and IT teams.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and segregation of duties within SAP finance processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while designing scalable future-state processes.
- Systems integration experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing, automotive, or direct-to-consumer industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with pre-IPO or recently public companies is a plus.
