Advancement Opportunities and IT Career Development
Employees who work as Customer Service Representatives at our video gaming and esports centers and demonstrate strong performance over time may have opportunities to advance into positions such as Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, or Store Manager. In general, advancement into these roles is based on demonstrated performance and relevant work history, including at least one year of experience, or two years for part-time employees.
This role can also provide valuable career-building experience for individuals interested in customer service, entertainment, computing, networking, IT, or business operations. In today’s job market, customer service experience combined with hands-on computer and technical ability can make candidates significantly more competitive. USA ESports Network offers an environment where employees can continue developing both customer service and technical skills in a practical setting.
For individuals who hope to begin a career in IT, experience gained in an esports center can serve as a meaningful starting point toward an entry-level IT Technician role. In some cases, one year or more of management experience in this environment may be viewed as relevant technical operations experience because team members are trained to help manage gaming systems, computer stations, and related IT infrastructure.
There may also be opportunities to join our headquarters IT team in the future. For employees who later decide to pursue positions at another IT company, our General Manager may also provide active support and professional recommendations based on performance and qualifications.
Please note that entry-level IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, and Network+ are often required for IT positions, whether within our company or elsewhere. Employees interested in that career path should understand that earning those certifications will require personal effort, preparation, and commitment.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an esports center?
Esports stands for Electronic Sports. Similar to traditional sports such as soccer or golf, competitive computer gaming creates an environment where people can compete and test their skills. One of the major advantages of esports is that it can be enjoyed regardless of place, time, or weather. It may also be referred to as an esports arena, PC gaming center, or LAN center.
How many people usually work at the store?
Typically, 1 to 2 staff members work at the store at one time, although staffing may vary depending on the location and shift circumstances. In addition, our headquarters team includes technicians who provide technical support and managers who provide general support either remotely or on-site.
I do not have prior experience working in an esports center. Can I still expect successful training?
We are looking for people who genuinely enjoy video games, understand computers, and like helping others. If you have those qualities, you may be a strong fit for the role. We provide a structured guidebook for new employees and experienced managers who help train new team members so they can begin working smoothly. However, because this business involves many gaming PCs and technology-related tasks, applicants should already have basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
What makes working at USA ESports Network different from working at a typical retail store?
We operate as a membership-based business, and our customers are generally polite, friendly, and respectful toward staff. In addition, an esports center is a unique business model because customer service is closely connected with IT systems. This creates an opportunity for employees to gain experience not only in customer service, but also in computers, servers, and network-related systems.
Can I expect a strong long-term career path at your company?
Our business philosophy is to grow alongside our employees. We aim to provide as many opportunities as possible to those who are qualified, prepared, and committed. Employees who demonstrate exceptional passion, professionalism, and performance may be considered for future opportunities. USA ESports Network is a workplace where motivated individuals can build meaningful experience in customer service, computing, networking, IT, and business management.
