GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Production Technician supports the assembly of high-quality medical products and devices. The Production Technician performs various assembly tasks while ensuring that all components fit correctly and meet stringent quality standards. Technical knowledge and manual dexterity are crucial in interpreting instructions and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Execute repetitive assembly tasks, adhering to established standard work procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
Identify and report quality defects and unsafe conditions, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
Utilize power tools and hand tools to perform assembly tasks, ensuring proper tool maintenance and reporting any equipment issues.
Employ measuring devices such as tape measures, rulers, and levels to verify dimensions and ensure accurate assembly.
Contribute to a collaborative environment by assisting coworkers, suggesting process improvements, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Works individually or as part of a team to successfully complete projects
Perform tasks such soldering, crimping, and quality checks to meet production requirements.
Assembles fabricated parts into small, large, or heavy subassemblies and complete devices.
As directed by management, perform preventive maintenance task of equipment in your area/department. Complete required maintenance forms as required.
Performs other duties and tasks assigned by their supervisor/ manager.
Accurately complete forms and reports in a timely fashion
Adhere to all rules, regulations, procedures, and policies.
Apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Exercise courtesy and tact when dealing with others.
Exercise sound judgment when: evaluating situations, offering positive suggestions, and making decisions.
Maintain acceptable attendance/punctuality standards.
Maintain quality and quantity work standards.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR relevant experience is a plus.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:

Mechanical assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
Hand Tools: 1 year (Preferred)
Electrical experience is beneficial.
Plumbing experience is beneficial.
Familiarity with quality control processes.
