Magna Hospitality Group is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations – West Coast Market Area to provide strategic and operational leadership for a diverse portfolio of hotels across the Western United States.
Magna Hospitality Group is a privately held hotel real estate investment, development, and management company with a portfolio of approximately 90 hotels across major urban markets throughout the country. Our portfolio includes leading brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt, spanning full-service, lifestyle, and select-service hotels.
This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for maximizing the operational performance, profitability, guest satisfaction, and team engagement of the West Coast portfolio. The Vice President of Operations will lead and develop property-level General Managers while partnering closely with ownership, corporate leadership, brand partners, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a multi-brand portfolio of hotels throughout the West Coast.
- Lead, coach, and mentor General Managers to achieve exceptional results in financial performance, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with company objectives and ownership expectations.
- Drive profitability through disciplined financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, expense control, and revenue optimization.
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold property leadership teams accountable for achieving financial and operational goals.
- Build strong relationships with hotel owners, investors, brand representatives, and executive leadership teams.
- Ensure consistent compliance with brand standards while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and the overall guest experience.
- Provide oversight of asset maintenance, capital planning, property improvement initiatives, and physical plant standards.
- Support new hotel openings, acquisitions, transitions, renovations, and other growth initiatives as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve market performance, operational processes, and overall portfolio results.
- Partner with corporate departments including Finance, Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, and Development to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Foster a people-focused culture that attracts, develops, and retains high-performing hospitality professionals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to General Managers and property leadership teams.
- Communicate performance, opportunities, challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and ownership.
- Ensure all operational decisions reflect Magna Hospitality Group's values and support the best interests of the organization as a whole.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a confident, collaborative, and commercially minded senior hospitality executive with a proven track record of leading complex hotel operations and developing high-performing leadership teams.
Qualified candidates will bring:

3–5+ years of Vice President of Operations, Regional Vice President, Regional Operations, or comparable multi-property leadership experience.
- A strong track record of successfully leading multiple hotels across multiple markets and/or brands.
- Significant experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or other major hotel brands.
- Experience across full-service, lifestyle, and select-service hotel environments preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing hotel operations, financial performance, and profitability.
- Strong understanding of hotel P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and financial controls.
- Experience with third-party hotel management and owner relations required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of brand compliance, quality assurance, guest satisfaction, and asset maintenance.
- Experience leading hotels through openings, renovations, acquisitions, transitions, or significant operational change is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- A demonstrated ability to develop General Managers and create strong, sustainable leadership teams.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate operational strategy into measurable financial results.
- The credibility and executive presence to effectively partner with owners, investors, brand representatives, and senior leadership.
- A willingness to travel extensively throughout the West Coast and across the broader portfolio as needed.
