The Home Improvement Lending Processor/Jr. Underwriter ensures that approved home improvement loan applications are underwritten in a timely manner, meeting all regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Functions
- Review loan applications for accuracy, compliance and completeness.
- Verify information presented at time of application.
- Inform sales reps on the progress of the loan.
- Establish, maintain and update files, databases and records for reporting.
- Provide support on completing loan documents.
- Utilize existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
- Utilize resources to develop knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications & Skills (While these skills are preferred, we value attitude and potential and we are willing to train the right candidate.)
- One year processing and/or underwriting experience in personal, home improvement or auto lending
- At least two years customer service experience
- A familiarity of a financial institution’s products and services
- Working knowledge of lending products, services and processes
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high accuracy across all tasks
- Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency in a high volume and sometimes stressful work environment
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and multiple software used to perform duties
