A Plater will plate and clean components in a manner that will meet or exceed established product quality and safety standards while meeting production metrics. Also maintain plating lines, tanks and equipment to ensure the department’s production meets specifications, quality and safety practices.
Are You Looking To:
- Familiar with and able to run all equipment and plating lines in the department with little or no supervision.
- Resolve issues for various plating areas ensuring that they consistently meet specification for proper plating, and plates product as needed to meet production and quality levels.
- Instruct personnel in the proper setup and process procedures to clean and plate in all areas of plating department.
- Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Supervisor of hazardous situations.
- Participate in and take proactive roles in AS9100, ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification, and solution verification.
- Performs other related duties and projects as required and assigned.

· Position reports to Production Supervisor. Primary contact is with internal personnel requiring training skills. Must be able to function in a team environment and work to accomplish team and company goals with ability to negotiate and compromise.
· Must communicate openly about work-related issues. Has contact with internal and external customers and co-workers.
· The position is accountable for efficient set-ups and production of quality parts on a daily basis with limited direct supervision. Must independently make complex bath and process adjustments and train others in proper procedures. Team performance measures are directly impacted by actions.
· Employee may be responsible for the generation, labeling, storage, and other general management of hazardous waste. Employee requires “Hazardous Waste Management Training” once per year in accordance with Minn. R. 7045.0292 if job responsibilities include handling hazardous waste.
What You'll Need:
· 1-2 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
· Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
