Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide variety of industrial and construction machinery. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting large-scale projects and operations with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, bulldozers, and other industrial machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system checks, brake repairs, transmissions servicing, and tire services to maximize equipment lifespan.
Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
Assist in heavy lifting operations with proper equipment handling techniques to ensure safety during repairs or installations.
Support the assembly and disassembly of machinery components during major repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment repair in dealership or industrial settings; familiarity with OEM parts is highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems for machinery, and electrical diagnostics.
Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and other heavy-duty equipment.
Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical assemblies accurately.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools necessary for complex repairs.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections.
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repair needs or maintenance schedules.
