Full Job Description

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of FMI Accounts Payable.

Essential Job Functions:

Weekly:

Process vendor invoices reviewing for proper coding, documentation and payment amount.
Review vendor invoices for sales and use tax compliance.
Review vendor invoices for 1099 reporting.
Facilitate vendor onboarding (obtaining tax and banking forms).
Assist with vendor conflict resolution.
Maintain/coordinate A/P invoice tracking.
Maintain vendor files and accounts payable records.
Process expense reports and payments when the Accounts Payable Manager is on leave.
Assist with monthly reconciliations. Other duties as required.

Annually:

Assist Finance team during annual audit.
Annual preparation and distribution of forms 1099 and 1096.

Other Job Functions:

Other duties and projects as assigned or directed.

Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment requiring use of typical business equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, security system).

Education, Skills and Experience:

A minimum of one to two years prior professional work experience in a similar role or related field
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting functions.
Experience with a computerized accounting system is a must.
Knowledge and understanding of basic office and filing procedures, including ability to use basic office equipment, i.e., copier, telephone and computer.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is required.
Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
Must have a strong customer service and team orientation.
Must be self-directed with excellent time and project management skills and an ability to organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail and with minimal supervision.
Ability to collaborate well with various colleagues across the organization.

Pay Range: $55,000 to $72,700 (annually)

This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum annual compensation for this position and has been established in good faith and in accordance with Virginia and federal law. Individual salary offers within this range will be based on the candidate's relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, and other job-related factors.
