Full Job Description

Job Overview
Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pilates Instructor to join their fitness team at their newly opening Navy Yard and Rockville, MD studios. Our client is a well known fitness brand with 13 Pilates studios across the NY metro area and more on the way in other markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness and a commitment to helping clients achieve their fitness goals through effective instruction and program design. As a Pilates Instructor, you will create a welcoming, high energy, inclusive, and motivating environment for participants of all skill levels, promoting overall health and wellness.

Duties

Conduct engaging and safe Pilates classes for individuals and groups, ensuring proper technique and alignment.
Educate clients on the principles of Pilates, including the benefits of core strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
Design customized workout programs tailored to the needs and goals of clients.
Monitor participants' progress and provide feedback to enhance their performance.
Collaborate with other fitness professionals, including yoga instructors, personal trainers, and group fitness leaders, to create comprehensive wellness programs.
Maintain a clean and organized studio environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and best practices in Pilates instruction.

Qualifications

Certification in Pilates instruction from a recognized organization is preferred.
Experience in health club settings or related fields such as dance, cycle, group fitness, CrossFit, or yoga is required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate clients effectively.
Knowledge of program design principles to create tailored workouts for diverse client needs.
A passion for fitness and a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles within the community.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
A fun and lively personality that excited an audience!
Ability to commit to a 6 week long training (only a few hours, two days per week though) before getting onto a regular studio schedule.
Must live within 30 minutes of the studios.
