Project Details
Location: Southeast Washington, DC
Project Type: Federal Government Facility
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Finish Carpenter
$39.00/hour
Painter / Finisher Painter
$32.75/hour
Carpet Installer
$35.21/hour
Temporary Electrician
$51.28/hour
Skilled Helper / Maintenance Trade Helper
$27.66/hour
Laborer / Helper
$27.03/hour
This is a Federal Prevailing Wage project.
Finish Carpenter Duties
- Install doors, frames, trim, cabinetry, hardware, and other finish carpentry components
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Complete punch-list items and detailed finish work
Painter / Finisher Painter Duties
- Prepare surfaces by patching, sanding, caulking, and priming
- Perform interior and exterior painting
- Apply coatings and finishes according to project specifications
Carpet Installer Duties
- Install carpet, carpet tile, vinyl flooring, base, and transition strips in accordance with project specifications
- Measure, cut, fit, and secure flooring materials using appropriate tools and techniques
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces as needed
- Remove existing flooring materials and dispose of debris in accordance with project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all OSHA and project safety standards
Temporary Electrician Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, devices, fixtures, and equipment under project specifications
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Install conduit, wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, panels, and electrical components
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as directed
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and project requirements
Skilled Laborer / Maintenance Trade Helper Duties
- Assist skilled trades with construction activities
- Handle materials and maintain site logistics
- Perform demolition, cleanup, and general labor tasks
- Support daily construction operations while maintaining a safe work environment
Minimum Requirements
- Construction experience preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have ability to pass a Federal background investigation
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA standards
- Drug-free workplace
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Federal or Government construction projects
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience working in occupied facilities
