Full Job Description

*Please note: must have evening availability (4-7pm preferred).

D1 Training Alexandria is looking for a Strength & Conditioning Coach with high energy and a team-focused mentality, to deliver high-quality group, team, and individual training with a focus on scholastic athletes.

At D1 Training Alexandria, we take pride in our strong group of coaches to establish ourselves as the premier Athlete training facility in the DMV area.

Who We Are.

D1 Training is an athletic-based training facility, focused on building a community of Athletes who can train and reach their goals together.
We proudly train youth, collegiate, and adult athletes from all backgrounds. Our partnerships extend to local high schools, club sports teams, and a variety of external training facilities, allowing us to support athletic development at every level.

Experiences We Deliver.

D1 delivers experiences including Group Training, Private Training, Small Group Training, and Team Training inside and outside of our facility.

Our Coaches.

Our Coaches provide an elite-level training experience, typically only available to world-class collegiate and professional athletes. Our 5-Star Training System utilizes science-backed training and programming to develop high-level speed, agility, strength, and conditioning.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

● First-Aid/CPR/AED Certification

● Nationally recognized & accredited certification: CSCS / NASM / ACE / ACSM

● *NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Preferred

● 2+ years of Strength & Conditioning coaching experience

● Timeliness, initiative, teamwork, and attention to detail are non-negotiable

● Drive to constantly improve and grow both personally and professionally

● Experience leading and commanding a group training environment

● Ability to demonstrate high-quality exercise technique safely and effectively

● Ability to regress and progress exercises efficiently and effectively

● Ability to educate on training and injury prevention

● Ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate with both youth and adult Athletes

● Outgoing, positive, and encouraging demeanor

● Availability of at least 20 hours per week to include mornings, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

● Degree from an accredited university (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or related field)

● Familiar with the local community; existing relationships with schools, coaches, and sports teams

● Experience in 1on1, small group, and team training settings

● Proficiency in performing and coaching the Olympic Lifts

● Understanding of Nutrition and how it relates to training

● Knowledge of MindBody software

Primary Responsibilities/Expectations

● Fulfill daily/weekly coaching duties as assigned by the Head Coach or General Manager

● Provide a consistent and high-quality training experience for all D1 Athletes

● Have in-depth knowledge of all D1 Training offerings

● Assist in growth and maintenance of membership base by providing high-level training

● Be a D1 Training Ambassador by leading on and off-site training

● Contribute to brand awareness through community events, seasonal programs, camps, and clinics

● Contribute to the creation of daily/weekly social media content

● Possess conflict resolution skills and the ability to share constructive feedback with Athletes and parents

● Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the training facility and equipment

● Adhere to standard operating procedures

● Utilize daily and weekly checklists
