GH Tool & Mold is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for our customers throughout the lifecycle of their tooling projects. Working alongside our Business Development team, you’ll take ownership of projects from contract review and quoting through engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and final invoicing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving technical challenges, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts throughout the tooling process.
- Perform detailed contract reviews to ensure customer requirements are accurately understood, documented, and communicated to internal teams.
- Prepare quotations for new tooling projects and engineering changes.
- Coordinate activities between customers, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Track project progress from quotation through delivery and invoicing.
- Communicate schedule updates, engineering changes, and technical information to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to customers and assist in resolving design and manufacturing challenges.
- Visit customer facilities for tooling sampling and project support as needed.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in aerospace tooling and/or die cast tooling.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or similar 3D CAD software.
- Understanding of basic design principles and tooling fundamentals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing contract review and interpreting customer specifications.
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and compliance documentation.
- Customer-facing project management or engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
