Hotel Maintenance Technician
Residence Inn by Marriott & SpringHill Suites by Marriott – St. George, Utah
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on, and proactive Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain both the Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites by Marriott in St. George.
Our Maintenance Technician plays an important role in the overall guest experience. Guests may not always see the work happening behind the scenes, but they absolutely notice when everything in their room and throughout the hotel is clean, safe, and working properly.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help keep our hotels operating at their best.
What You'll Do
- Perform hands-on general maintenance and repairs throughout both hotel properties.
- Respond quickly and professionally to guestroom and hotel maintenance requests.
- Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and hotel equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance in guestrooms and public areas.
- Inspect guestrooms and hotel areas to identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, walls, and other hotel equipment.
- Complete drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and other general property upkeep.
- Assist with basic pool and spa maintenance and required daily checks.
- Maintain hotel grounds and exterior areas as needed.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate maintenance concerns and larger repair needs to hotel leadership.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas.
- Properly use and care for hotel tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and hotel policies.
- Work closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping teams to quickly resolve guestroom maintenance concerns.
- Assist with hotel projects, property improvements, and deep-clean or preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Help maintain Marriott brand standards and ensure both properties are always guest-ready.
- Jump in and assist wherever needed to support the hotels and our guests.

Previous hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities, construction, or general handyman experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and general repairs is a plus.
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on maintenance position. The Maintenance Technician must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various positions.
- Safely use ladders and maintenance equipment.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule & Availability
This is a hands-on hotel maintenance position supporting two properties. Flexibility is required based on hotel business levels and maintenance needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency maintenance situations.
