Project Manager - Division 27 & 28 (Telecommunications & Security)

Established Government & Commercial Systems Integrator is seeking a Project Manager capable of Managing Federal, State, Local, education and commercial Telecommunications and Security Systems projects.

Wycliffe Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years industry expertise in the Telecommunications and Electronic Security Systems arena. Wycliffe Technologies performs various size Cabling Infrastructure Projects (both Copper and Fiber Optic) along with Access Control and Video Surveillance for large scale Commercial & Federal Clients. Both technical and management experience necessary - one without the other in this field usually doesn’t work well. Must be well versed in all aspects of copper and fiber cabling including terminations and testing. Must be able to fully understand how a Security System is installed, operates, and integrates with other building systems. Prior experience with large GCs, Electrical Contractors, Transportation and other government clients a must. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, goal-oriented, critical thinker, able to quickly prioritize, make decisions, and always remain highly organized. This person must understand the meaning of deadlines.

Our Project Sizes range from 20K to several million dollars. Requirements:

Development and management of Critical Path Scheduling

Subcontractor procurement

Communications & Security Bill of Materials development

Quality Control and Safety oversight

Full project lifecycle ownership including financials

Project Planning and scheduling

Material Procurement and Logistics Management

Risk assessment and mitigation

Value Engineering means and methods

Perform Project Cost Projections using PM Software such as Foundation, Procore or equivalent.

Tracking and controlling construction schedules and associated costs such as labor units and quantities to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated

Process and Development of Change Estimates and Change Orders

Expert knowledge of industry products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership

Stakeholder relationship management

Technical experience with copper and fiber infrastructures.

Technical experience with Enterprise Access Control & Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection including perimeter detection.

Blueprint reading

Permitting and Inspection processes

Manage staff such as assistant Project Managers, Foreman, Administrators

Writing and negotiating subcontractors and vendors agreements Licenses and Certifications

Working knowledge of numerous Manufacturers’ security systems

Computer Skills (required)

Proficient with MS 365 including all Apps within 365.

Proficient in Project Scheduling Software such as MS Project or equivalent.

Adobe Acrobat

Proficient in PM software

Licenses and Certifications:

Applicant must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification a plus.

OSHA-10 Hr. minimum or 30 Hr. preferred. OSHA 40 hour HAZWoper, Additional Safety certifications a huge plus

Security Licensing – DCJS (Virginia) CJIS (Maryland)

RCDD a Major Plus

Qualifications and Qualities:

· Five years or more of experience supervising large scale system integration and/or communications projects of increasing complexity.

· College Degree preferred but will consider Large Scale Project Field Experience of 5+ Years.

· Motivated, Goal oriented, Self-Starter

· Technical experience with copper and fiber infrastructures

· Technical experience with Enterprise Access Control & Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection including perimeter detection.

· Excellent written and oral communications skills

· Good organizational skills

· Blueprint reading

· Ability to plan and see the “big picture”

· Competent in conflict and crisis management

· Applicant must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
