Litigation Legal Secretary – Washington, DC

A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its Washington, DC office. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, proactive legal professional with strong litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of litigation legal secretary experience and be comfortable supporting busy attorneys, managing competing priorities, and handling a wide range of administrative responsibilities with professionalism and exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation

Salary: $105,000 annually, plus overtime, bonuses, and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
Manage complex attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and monitor important deadlines.
Coordinate domestic and international travel and prepare detailed travel itineraries.
Prepare and submit attorney expense reports accurately and on time.
Assist with business development and marketing initiatives, including research and document preparation.
Organize, maintain, and update client and matter files in accordance with firm procedures.
Enter attorney time as needed.
Respond promptly to attorney and administrative requests.
Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5–6 years of experience working in a law firm environment.
At least five years of experience as a litigation legal secretary. (Not paralegal)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
Experience coordinating domestic and international travel and managing complex itineraries.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Four-year bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year
