About CIGC and the Role
Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC) is a nationally recognized minimally invasive gynecologic surgery practice led by Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team. The practice specializes in advanced, minimally invasive treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, and other complex gynecologic conditions, giving women effective alternatives to open surgery and, in many cases, the ability to keep their uterus. Its results are among the best documented in the field: more than 20,000 procedures performed, over 99% of patients discharged the same day, a complication rate near 0.1%, and outcomes published across six peer-reviewed studies.
CIGC performs these procedures in its own accredited ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) rather than in hospitals. This is the foundation of the practice’s value-based approach: complex surgery delivered at lower cost, with recovery at home the same day and a level of personal attention larger hospital systems rarely provide.
The nurse practitioner provides non-surgical gynecologic care in the practice’s office setting, working alongside Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team. The NP evaluates and manages patients with fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, and abnormal uterine bleeding; provides general and preventive gynecology; and manages postoperative recovery after procedures performed by the surgical team. Surgical consultation, surgical candidacy, and operative planning are handled by Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team. This is an office-based clinical role with no operating-room or first-assist duties. A Women’s Health NP is the preferred profile.
Responsibilities
Non-surgical evaluation and management
- Evaluate patients with fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and pelvic pain.

- Perform pelvic and physical examinations and obtain indicated specimens.
- Develop and manage non-surgical treatment plans, and order labs, imaging, and referrals within scope.
- Discuss non-surgical treatment options and manage medical therapy for bleeding, pain, and related symptoms.
- Identify patients who are candidates for surgery and refer them to Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team with an organized clinical summary.

- Order and interpret labs and imaging within scope; communicate results and document the plan.

- Manage postoperative visits and calls after procedures performed by the surgical team.
- Assess recovery — pain, bleeding, healing, activity, and return to work — and manage routine postoperative medications and wound care.
- Recognize and promptly escalate signs of complications (hemorrhage, infection, thromboembolism, bowel or urinary injury, uncontrolled pain) to Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team.
Ongoing and coordinated care
- Provide continued non-surgical follow-up; monitor treatment response and recurrence, and revise the plan or escalate as needed.
- Coordinate with primary care, fertility, pelvic-floor physical therapy, pain management, GI, urology, or hematology as indicated.
