Job Description: Director of Operations

Location: Alexandria Virginia
Company Size: $12-15M revenue
Reports To: COO with dotted line to CEO
Position Level: Senior Leadership

About the Company

We are a private-equity-backed company entering its next stage of disciplined growth. We are building the operational infrastructure needed to scale with excellence and operational rigor. The Director of Operations will be the leader responsible for day-to-day operations, project management and budget control. Other key areas of oversight include client relationship management, staff development/succession planning, safety, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Dynamic Drain Technologies is the industry leader specializing in Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) projects for Large residential buildings and campuses, industrial and healthcare facilities, national parks and federal properties in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our client/project properties include the Capital Building, White House, Smithsonian, Harvard University, University of Virginia and Glaxo Smith Kline.

Responsibilities

· Direct responsibility for achieving the financial and operational goals for Mid-Atlantic SSES, SRES, CIPP and Plumbing Rehabilitation Projects

· Manage the operations staff of 25

· Develop a training/mentoring program to develop staff for promotion

· Direct the completion of camera surveys (SSES/SRES)

· Direct reports include the project managers for the Large Project CIPP Team, Medium Project CIPP Team, Small Project CIPP Team, SSES/SRES Team and Plumbing Rehabilitation Team

· Coordinating project schedules with the COO to maximize operational efficiencies

· Coordinating project schedules with Clients

· Manage internal CRM/Smartsheet ensuring project progress and cost is updated real time and accurately reflects project status and cost

· Ensuring materials are purchased and staged as needed for projects

· Ensuring the warehouse is orderly and clean

· Developing and managing KPI’s for quality

· Managing safety for the operations staff

· Managing preventive, routine and corrective maintenance for equipment and vehicles

· Define and oversee operations staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate staff to achieve goals

Requires

· Degree in Construction Management or a related field

· Minimum 10 years’ experience with a strong track record of success in managing multiple concurrent projects

· Demonstrated experience reading blue prints to understand piping infrastructure in the multi-family footprint

· You are a team player that thrives in helping others succeed

· You are a strategic thinker & problem solver with the ability to develop and implement strategies that align with overall business goals

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Analytical skills to interpret data and metrics, identify trends and make data driven decisions

· Proficient with CRM systems to track project schedules, cost and key metrics

· Mechanical and infrastructure experience

· Willing to travel 20% in the Mid-Atlantic region

· Bilingual Spanish and English preferred

Compensation

Base salary and performance-based bonus (range $150k - $250k annually)
