Full Job Description

Rockville Interiors is looking for a full-time seamstress for our drapery workroom. As a seamstress, you will work as part of the team to help produce high-quality draperies and curtains. Your attention to detail and expertise in sewing machine operation will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate custom Roman shades (flat, hobbled, relaxed, top-down/bottom-up etc)
Sew drapery panels including pinch pleat, Euro pleat, goblet, and ripplefold styles
Construct custom pillows, including knife-edge, flange, and boxed
Assist with light upholstery (benches, ottomans, cushions)
Measure, cut, and handle designer fabrics accurately
Add linings, interlinings, trims, tapes, and hardware components
Follow work orders and project specifications with high accuracy
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
Meet production timelines while delivering flawless quality

Experience:

3+ years of professional sewing or fabrication experience
Experience with high-end fabrics (linens, silks, velvets, sheers)
Ability to operate industrial sewing machines
Knowledge of custom window treatment construction methods
Upholstery or workroom background is a plus
Ability to follow patterns, instructions, and detailed specs
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

Como costurera, formarás parte de nuestro equipo para ayudar a producir cortinas y tratamientos de ventanas personalizados de la más alta calidad. Tu atención al detalle y experiencia en el manejo de máquinas de coser garantizarán que nuestros productos cumplan con los más altos estándares de calidad.

Responsabilidades:

Confeccionar persianas romanas personalizadas (planas, con pliegues hobbled, relajadas, de arriba hacia abajo/de abajo hacia arriba, entre otros estilos).
Coser paneles de cortinas, incluyendo estilos de pliegue francés (pinch pleat), pliegue europeo (Euro pleat), pliegue tipo copa (goblet) y ripplefold.
Fabricar almohadas personalizadas, incluyendo modelos de borde sencillo (knife-edge), con pestaña (flange) y tipo caja (boxed).
Ayudar con trabajos ligeros de tapicería (bancas, otomanas y cojines).
Medir, cortar y manipular telas de diseñador con precisión.
Agregar forros, entretelas, ribetes, cintas y componentes de herrajes.
Seguir órdenes de trabajo y especificaciones de cada proyecto con gran precisión.
Mantener un área de trabajo limpia, organizada y eficiente.
Cumplir con los plazos de producción entregando un trabajo impecable.

Experiencia:

Más de 3 años de experiencia profesional en costura o confección.
Experiencia trabajando con telas de alta gama (lino, seda, terciopelo y visillos).
Capacidad para operar máquinas de coser industriales.
Conocimiento de los métodos de confección de tratamientos de ventanas personalizados.
Se valorará experiencia en tapicería o en un taller de confección.
Capacidad para seguir patrones, instrucciones y especificaciones detalladas.
Gran atención al detalle y orgullo por la calidad del trabajo realizado.
