Full Job Description

The Role in One Line

Run Eastern Michigan like it's your own business, without being buried in admin.

This is an established territory with an installed base and active customers. You're not starting from zero. Inside sales builds the quotes. Your job is the customer-facing work: developing the territory, following up relentlessly, and closing.

Territory & Working Style

Coverage: Eastern Michigan
Home office based, field-driven across Eastern Michigan
Overnight travel as the territory requires

What You Own

Owning the customer relationship; you are the face of George R. Peters Associates in the field
Owning the vendor and manufacturer relationships and holding each manufacturer accountable to deliver
Owning the relationship with the project managers and keeping active projects running smoothly
Acting as the customer advocate; making sure the manufacturer does their job and the customer is taken care of
Prospecting and developing new customers
Growing revenue inside existing accounts and the installed base
Driving every opportunity from discovery to close
Following up on every quote until it's won or lost
Managing discounts within company guidelines
Owning the CRM: activity, notes, next steps, opportunity hygiene

What You Do Not Do

Generate quotes. Inside sales handles that
Process routine orders

You may push some paperwork when it keeps a project moving, but that is the exception. Your time goes to revenue-producing activity: visits, discovery, follow-up, and closing.

Own 100% of quote follow-up; drive every quote to a clear outcome (won/lost)

Pipeline

Maintain an active pipeline and continuously generate new opportunities

Weekly Operating Rhythm

Monday: build the week, prioritize follow-up, submit weekly report and 2-week schedule by 5:00 PM
Tuesday through Friday: customer visits and opportunity advancement
Minimum 6 in-person customer visits every week

Non-Negotiable Expectations

6 in-person customer visits per week, minimum
Weekly report and 2-week schedule submitted every Monday by 5:00 PM

Compensation

Mid-level role: $85,000 base plus commission.

Performance-driven upside on top of base.
