Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ih-home treatment for individuals with disabilities. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments as needed.
Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.
Perform specialized procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization (urinary and vascular), suturing, tube feeding, ostomy care, and wound management. This as as needed based on the current medical plan ISP provided by DDD
Provide acute pain management and participate in triage for emergency cases clients home. This as as needed based on the current medical plan ISP provided by DDD
Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, disease management (e.g., infectious disease care), family planning, and medication administration.
Support infection control protocols and sterile processing procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

Valid RN license in the state of practice with current CPR/BLS certification.
Proven experience across multiple clinical areas such as medical-surgical units, ICU/CCU/PICU, emergency room or urgent care settings; experience in hospital medicine or teaching hospitals is a plus.
EVV knowledge and compliance
Ability to perform complex procedures such as IV insertion/venipuncture, sterile dressing changes, spinal taps or gastrostomy placements when applicable.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation law and post-acute or sub-acute care protocols is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills coupled with compassionate patient-centered approach; ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as trauma centers or critical care units is essential.
