Full Job Description

AOG Resources is seeking experienced Aircraft Interior Mechanics to perform cabin reconfigurations, interior overhauls, and structural modifications on commercial airframes in Everett, WA.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Interior Mechanic to join our heavy maintenance and modification facility in Everett, WA. In this role, you will perform high-precision removal, installation, overhaul, and modification of commercial aircraft cabin interiors on narrowbody and widebody transport aircraft (Boeing and Airbus). Working in a fast-paced MRO environment, you will play a key role in major cabin reconfigurations, seat track modifications, LOPA (Layout of Passenger Amenities) changes, and emergency equipment servicing to ensure optimal passenger comfort and absolute FAA compliance.

Core Responsibilities

Cabin Disassembly & Assembly: Perform systematic teardown, removal, installation, and rigging of commercial aircraft interior components, including seats (economy, business, first class), overhead bins, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, ceiling panels, and flight deck accommodations.
Structural & Flooring Work: Inspect, repair, and install cargo liners, floor panels, carpet, seat tracks, partitions, and thermal/acoustic insulation blankets.
Cabin Modifications: Execute complex interior reconfigurations based on engineering order packages, blueprints, and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) modifications.
System Testing & Alignment: Test, adjust, and perform operational checks on cabin mechanical systems, galley water/waste lines, oxygen box drop-down mechanisms, and interior lighting components.
Documentation & Safety: Meticulously record all completed task cards, parts removals, and installation step-offs in accordance with FAA Part 145 repair station regulations and company quality standards. Maintain strict tool control and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention practices.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on aviation interior removal, repair, and installation experience in a commercial MRO, heavy maintenance, or VIP modification environment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring equipment, pneumatic drills, pop rivet guns, torque wrenches, and safety wiring techniques.
Blueprints & Manuals: Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, IPCs (Illustrated Parts Catalogs), CMMs (Component Maintenance Manuals), and engineering job cards.
Tools: Must possess a complete personal inventory of aviation hand tools appropriate for interior work.

Preferred Experience:

Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant license is preferred.
Direct experience with Boeing widebody (767, 777, 787) or narrowbody (737) interior configurations and cargo conversion interior modifications.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Comfort working in tight, confined aircraft cabin spaces and awkward physical positions (bending, kneeling, stooping, stretching overhead) for extended periods.
Ability to routinely lift, push, pull, and carry interior components weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working at elevated heights using work stands, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
