Our Arcade Attendants are the heartbeat of our business and are the key to our success. They’re warm, kind, service-driven, and solution-oriented when interacting with customers. They promote having a good time and seek out ways to improve the customer experience in all regards. While their first responsibility is serving our guests and assisting with ticket redemption, Arcade Attendants enjoy working on a team and are comfortable wearing many hats to keep the experience at Legends Arcade fun and inviting for guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a smile! Create an inclusive and inviting environment for each person who walks in the door.
- Kindly serve snacks and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
- Prepare the arcade as needed for guests prior to opening such as restocking inventory at our redemption counter, preparing for parties, cleaning the arcade and bathrooms, to ensure the space remains inviting.
- Help with closing tasks such as general cleaning, turning off lights/machines, and securing the space for the night.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory as required.
- Set-up, serve, and clean-up private parties and events
- Resolve customer complaints as needed with professionalism.
- Act as needed to ensure the safety and security of all patrons.
- Be a positive role model to kids, teens, and adults in all interactions and communications.
- Communicate and enforce all relevant Legends Arcade policies and procedures with guests.
- Solicit feedback from customers, and bring feedback to management as needed, to improve the customer experience for all.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Party Room booking/scheduling/prep/clean-up, resolving minor game issues, building and game maintenance and cleaning, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be available to work at least one of the following shifts: Friday evening, Saturday afternoon or evening, and Sunday afternoon or evening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Positive, friendly, warm demeanor is a must!
- Experience in customer service, working with children, or retail is preferred
- Strong communication skills, solution-oriented approach to resolving issues and conflict.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions, such as frequent bending, reaching, lifting of items less than 50lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Upon hire, must be willing to take classes required either by the state to meet licensing requirements, or the employer, such as food handlers permit or First-Aid/CPR training.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $19-22 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips.
- This position is part-time, hourly, fewer than 25 hours/week. Health and dental benefits are not provided.
- Discounts on party room rental and arcade play when not on the clock.
