Full Job Description

About Resound Energy:

Resound Energy is a design build electrical contracting firm specializing in commercial and industrial lighting retrofits and EV charging stations. We are passionate about providing our clients with project opportunities that pay for themselves through energy savings, reducing their carbon footprint and improving the quality of their facilities. Founded in 2009, our rapid growth has enabled us to position ourselves as the Pacific Northwest's leading LED retrofit and EV charging contractor. EV charging installations have expanded to a larger scale to include civil construction.

The role of the Construction Bookkeeper is to help with any task handed to them by the Accounting Manager and or Controller. The Construction Bookkeeper should have some knowledge of all accounting functions.

Tasks:

AR tasks include, but are not limited to the following;

1. Process invoices in multiple formats, depending on the software the info is coming from

2. Process lien releases to customers if applicable

3. Send invoices to customer and follow up on payment status

4. Assist with bank reconciliation and deposit posting

5. Update spreadsheet trackers and necessary

Payroll tasks include, but are not limited to the following;

1. Review shift and hours logged information coming from our Scheduler

2. Verify Sick, Vacation, Holiday etc hours logged

3. Verify job numbers time is being posted to

4. Coordinate with Sales team to ensure correct commissions

5. Work with payroll processing company to ensure accuracy

Accounts Payable tasks include, but are not limited to the following;

1. Process/file incoming invoices from vendors

2. Match invoices to purchase orders. Verify cost, quantity and job number

3. Check and check backup filing

4. Gather credit card receipts and verify posting information

5. Post payables and credit card transactions in accounting software

Skills/Qualifications
1. 3+ years of experience in general bookkeeping.

2. Knowledge of all GAAP accounting principles.

3. Experience with Spectrum (Viewpoint), Quickbooks Desktop, BlueBeam and full Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Sharepoint.

4. Experience working in fast paced environments with a high volume of information.

5. Keen eye for detail- ideal candidate can discern and communicate errors in billing, typos and policy follow through.

6. Exceptional communication skills- this role communicates with all employees in various ways. The best candidate for this role is not afraid to speak up but is able to do so with professionalism and kindness.

7. Detailed and thorough organization skills- this role requires management of a large number of invoices on a daily basis and will also be in charge of ensuring paperless record keeping is completely accurate.

8. Highly motivated and able to work independently; not easily distracted by others.

9. Discretion when handling confidential information.

10. Punctual and reliable.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
